The installation breathes through scent: corn alcohol, popcorn, cade oil, petroleum, and PrEP powder compose an ambiguous perfume, saturated with industrial and political memory. These materials—pharmacy’s invisible mediums of starch, sugar, solvents, and petrochemical derivatives—rise here to the surface. Rather than extracting and purifying, the work decomposes: the rhizome-rope acts as an instrument of disassembly, undoing the pill and returning it to its constituents—corn and petroleum—along with their odors and their debts. Both homage and tension, P.R.E.P. interrogates care as a paradox: protecting queer lives while reactivating chains of extraction, dependency, and contamination. This work received the Prix Utopi·e #4.

L’installation respire par l’odeur : alcool de maïs, popcorn, huile de cade, pétrole et poudre de PrEP composent un parfum ambigu, saturé de mémoire industrielle et politique. Ces matières, médiums invisibles de la pharmacie — amidon, sucre, solvants et dérivés pétrochimiques — affleurent ici à la surface. Plutôt qu’extraire et purifier, l’œuvre décompose : le rhizome-corde agit comme un instrument de désassemblage qui défait la pilule et la restitue à ses constituants — maïs et pétrole —, à leurs odeurs et à leurs dettes. À la fois hommage et mise en tension, P.R.E.P. interroge le soin comme paradoxe : protéger nos vies queer tout en ravivant des chaînes d’extraction, de dépendance et de contamination. Cette œuvre a reçu le Prix Utopi·e #4.

装置以气味呼吸：玉米酒精、爆米花、杜松焦油、石油与 PrEP 粉末交织成一种暧昧的香气，饱和着工业与政治的记忆。这些“药学的隐形媒介”——淀粉、糖、溶剂与石化衍生物——在此浮出表面。作品不再追求提取与纯化，而是转向分解与显影：绳索-根茎作为一种拆解工具，将药片解构，并把它归还给其组成——玉米与石油——以及它们的气味与债务。作为致意亦作为张力，P.R.E.P. 将“照护”置于悖论之中：在保护酷儿生命的同时，也再度触动开采、依赖与污染的链条。
